Can an evap line ever be dark blue?

This is silly, really. I should just wait and POS tomorrow morning again. I'm driving myself crazy wondering though.

AF was due 3/9. I started spotting so I figured, "ok, not preg this month". But I haven't had more than scant brown discharge and a few read smears when wiping all week. I've been pregnant 7 times and none of them ever started this way. I couldn't wait and wonder any more. So this morning I POS. After the first 3 minutes it read BFN. And I intended to check back in two or three minutes but got distracted by the yahoos. A few hours later I pulled it out to look again and there was a dark dark blue line. The exact same color as the test line.

Is it possible this is just an evap line? I've read that evap lines are usually only clearish.

I think it could still be an evap line. Sorry, that's way outside the time limits. Doesn't mean I think the initial BFN is definitive either. All my pregnancies started the way you are describing and it took forever to finally get a +. Good luck!

My understanding is that blue dye tests are notoriously inaccurate. I'm not discounting the possibility of a pregnancy, but you may want to test again with FMU and with a pink dye test.

I have seen, myself, some crazy convincing blue lines on tests that were very much negative. Like DARK blue lines. Get a pink test and stay with it for the entire 10 minutes... if there isnt anything there in the 10 minutes no matter what appears after, its negative.

The only evap line I ever got was with a test with blue dye. I cried and cried and cried because I didtnt want to be pg at all. I was leaving my husband. My period was a week late bc of stress adn I took a test and forgot about it. WEnt back to look at it an hour later and there was a definite line. There were two tests in the box. I took the second on e a few mornings later and it was definitely negative. I watched it. I pulled it out of the trash later that morning and there was the same line as before but i got my period that same sday so I know i wasn't pg.

Sorry. This doesn't meant that you aren't pg though.
