Gift basket for friend with celiac disease?

Hi:

My good friend's b-day is tomorrow and she has celiac disease. She lives alone and supports herself and her business by herself. I thought a food gift basket with gluten-free items might be a nice present. The only thing I can think of right now is quinoa, since it's expensive and maybe a gf mix or flour or two. Any ideas?

Maybe a gf pasta, nut butter and nice jelly, dried/fresh fruits, nuts.

THere are some decent mixes for stuff you can find at a HFS. You could do GF pizza mix and some toppings. There are bread mixes, Udi's GF bread is really good, there are GF cookies, pretzels, etc.

If you have a See's Candy nearby most of their candies are GF. Dh and I get ourselves a big box about twice a year (dh and dd have celiacs and I have to be GF for dd since she's still nursing).

Or you could go onto www.glutenfreeregistry.com and see if there are any restaurants nearby you could take her out to dinner. Celiacs looooove it when they find GF pizza!

Thanks for the great ideas! We're in Nova Scotia, so there are no sees candy stores or pizza places. But our HFS does have GF pizza mixes and this lady is BUSY. I think I can get a good basket together now.

If you can find Larabars, they would be great to throw in there. They are awesome.
