Another anterior placenta

This is my third and final pregnancy and my third anterior placenta. I guess I just grow them up front for whatever reason. I'm a little disapointed because I will never get to feel the full range of motion you can feel and I feel all my babies late. People who had both always say they feel so much less with an anterior placenta. I had so many panick attacks with my dd thinking something happened where I went to the triage. I was really hoping for a posterior placenta this time to know what movement can really feel like. I am thankful everything looks alright with the baby so far at least.

I'm sorry - that must be disappointing! I have had them both ways and I would feel the same way in your position, no doubt. I did find my doppler invaluable, esp. during that pg though...since the movement was so muffled, it brought me much more peace of mind.

I had a posterior placenta with DD and an anterior placenta this time around and they haven't seemed that different for me. I felt DS pretty early, and I've felt his movements really well. He's just quieter than DD in there, but when he moves, I know it.

I hope you get lots of baby movement!

This is baby #7 for me, and the 1st time Ive had an anterior placenta. I did not feel any discernable movement from her until about 18-19weeks and then it was very light flutters. I am now 31 weeks and just now feeling movement that most other mamas have probably been feeling for a long time. This is very odd to me, and has been hard to get used to. I have had "busy" babies as well as "laid back" ones, but have always felt more movement with my posterior placentas. I take heart in the fact that nature does what is best in each given situation, that this is not at all an abnormal thing, and I know my little girl is healthy and happy. I do sympathize mama; I love feeling my babies move, even when some of the kicks and punches are less than pleasant. Enjoy the movements you do feel and trust in your heart that all is well.
