I looked for this in abbreviations, and didn't find anything, so I'm back here asking another random question...

What does SO mean at the beginning of a thread title? I often see it on poll threads, and have no idea what it means. "Significant other" always pops in my head, but that doesn't make any sense.

This is the kind of stuff I think about when I'm trying to fall asleep at night

It typically means Significant Other or "Spin off" if they are creating a new thread based on another thread.
