Used Charlie's soap, then read reviews, now what? Did I get all the Charlie's out?

First off, we just started with cloth the last 48 hours. BumGenius 3.0 so far. Had ordered Charlie's Soap. Then read the reviews. While I know many use it with no issues re: chemical burns, etc, I just don't want to take the risk. Unfortunately, I already used it on one diaper. I have since run it through 3 (maybe 4? lost count) full cycles with just water.

Do you think I got it all out? Or would it take more washes to get rid of any more residue?

Thanks for your help!

new to CDing, but i've had to strip my dipes of regular detergent before and three washes did it.

but i wouldn't give up on charlie's just yet. i've heard the chemical burn is rare. we're using charlie's a love it! ds hasn't had any rash with it and our diapers always come out of the wash clean and fresh. mho

We use Charlie's for all our laundry and love it! It will actually strip OTHER detergents out of your clothes. I would try it and see if you have a problem. I really do love that detergent!

Don't forget, different detergents work differently for people b/c of variations in washers, water pH & hardness, skin types, & diaper materials. The regular version of Tide works great for some people, even though it is warned against b/c of residue, burns, and rashes.

We used Charlie's on our diapers too with no problem. Loved it but have since switched to Nellie's b/c I can get it for much cheaper.
1/2 tbps/load is all I used and it was great for clean dipes with no burn issues. You might want to try it and see.

I've used Charlie's as well with no problems. I would give it a chance and see if it causes problems before deciding whether to use it or not.

I would expect that 3 washes removed any Charlie's residue, if there was any to be gotten rid of.

We use Charlies and love it I switched because my DD had very sensitive skin and that was all she could handle. I was really nervous to start using it too from the reviews. So I stripped my diapers using the charlies soap and we didn't have any issues. As a PP said Charlies will actually strip all the other detergent build up out of your clothes. If you stick with it you won't have musty smelling towels and your clothes with be clean and sooo soft with out having to use fabric softener of any kind.

But if you are just too nervous to use it yes 3 washes will have gotten any residue out as Charlies doesn't really leave one in the first place.
