Last night the weirdest thing happened to me and I don't know why this happened. In the middle of the night I had to go to the bathroom. For some reason I jumped out of bed super fast and walked towards the door. I got really dizzy and actually had to hold myself up. Almost felt like I was going to black out. I managed to get around the corner holding onto the wall and started feeling really nauseous and warm. Went to the bathroom, crawled back out to the hall and basically lay down on the floor until I was cooled off-about 5 min or so. Then crawled to my bed b/c I was getting cold. Still feeeling dizzy. I cosleep w my son and tryed to tell my husband but he didn't hear me across the condo. Anyways, when I lay down and got warmed up the nauseous feeling went away. This morning I got up really slow to make sure I was stable. I think I still feel a little off balance. Anyone have any suggestions of what this could be? Nothing like this has ever happened. I eat very, very healthy,do yoga and am not overweight. No history of health porblems. Kept thinking if I ate something weird but all I had different than usual is that I juiced a lemon and drank it w just a little water. Its saturday and I usually go to yoga but after that I am scared. Could it be a flu? My DH has a cold and I've been trying to avoid it by taking extra SA etc etc. Any ideas?

i had this same thing happen to me... for me it was a sinus infection and an ear infection that i had no clue i had! i mean the signs were there but NOT the same signs i had always had with both kinds of infections.
it could also be and sounds very much like virtigo
for me it also turns out i was pregnant and i think for me that was the reason everything happened.
all i can say is i hope you find whatever the answer is, because i know how bad it was for me!

Thanks for the tips. I'll check out the vertigo link. I don't feel like I have an inner ear infection but possible since my son was sick 2 weeks ago and so is my DH. To the PP who had the same thing- did you feel so nauseous that you almost blacked out and could not walk. It was so awful!! Felt like after I had my c-section and had to walk for the 1st time. I'm not pregnant. I hope its not heart related although I've never had issues before.
In the past I have noticed being a little of balance when I do quick movements w my head but nothing like this. I get really dizzy though jumping
on a bounce thing.
I've started a new job working at home on the computer and have just noticed my eyes feel blurry too. Maybe its related.

My mother had vertigo (with spinning room, too hot and nausea/vomiting) for about 3 weeks AFTER her inner ear infection was better (they only dx by the vertigo, she had no pain or other symptoms). Apparently there was old tissue sloughing off inside the fluid within the inner ear after the infection was actually gone, which was disturbing the tiny hairs in there and causing the vertigo attacks.

I get this with either low blood pressure or, more commonly, low blood sugar. Did you eat a good dinner? If I don't get a good amount of meat and fat for dinner, I often have to spend some time on the floor in the kitchen trying not to throw up while I get some food into my body in the morning. If my adrenals aren't doing well, it's worse because then my blood pressure is way down too.
A lot of times, just eating some protein with a lot of salt helps since it addresses both low blood sugar and low blood pressure.

I think it's just low blood pressure, since you got up so quickly from sleeping. Orthostatic Hypotension

I got these same symptoms when my adrenals tanked a few years back. Docs were sure it was inner ear but it wasn't. It was bp issues due to not enough cortisol.
