Summer Jobs for Students

I'm going to need to get a summer job next summer. I'll have just graduated with my 4-year degree and will be starting my masters program in the fall, so working on campus isn't an option.
Any ideas for a full time summer job? I don't know what kind of places (besides restaurants) that don't mind hiring you just for the summer.

What have you guys done in the past?

Thanks

I would concentrate on seasonal businesses that might higher more in the summer: landscaping, camps, tourist places, zoos, gardens, country clubs, neighborhood beaches/pools. What kind of work are you looking for? Regular business hours with a desk job? I think that's likely harder to come by. I worked recreational therapy in a nursing home during the summers when I was in school. I basically covered the vacations for the permanent full time staff and ran some extra programs they didn't due during the non-summer months.

Yeah, i would need regular hours that daycare can cover. I have a feeling that I'll end up getting a serving job but DH really doesn't want me to (he's just about to quit his job as a restaurant manager and is at a spot where he really doesn't want to look back, yk?)

How about providing childcare? There are lots of families, especially with school aged kids, who need childcare over the summer.

For a 9-5, you could always find some temp gigs through an employment agency. Not the most riveting work, but it'll pay the bills for a couple months.
