Can't decide to homeschool this fall or try a Montessori

Have any of you continued to home school while you look at schools in case you change your mind ? I have looked and Montessori looks like the only option I would consider because kids that are ahead will be able to learn at a higher level. I also wonder if sending my 4 year old ( turning five next Dec) would just invite a tired child who gets sick a lot in my house. I figure it will just be three hours a day but it is five days a week. I thought I might try it in addition to homeschooling but you are responsible for a whole year's tuition if you pull out early. I have always noticed when my daughter is next to an older child that she want to do what they are doing. I think seeing older kids master skills that she is working on might be a benefit. I can't decide what to do. Any thoughts ?

I would do montessori at home and get your daughter actively involved in some sort of co-op/homeschool support group.

If you homeschooled, would you do Montessori? There are some things that work great doing Montessori at home (like Practical Life), but it can also present some difficulties (materials, lack of multi-age integration).

I need to get on the montessori site. I do a lot of Montessori at home. I have thought about it more and I think I could help my child more than the teacher with what I think she needs to work on. I feel if I do the school I will just be hoping for the best. At home I can work more one on one in areas of fine motor or what not. I have just joined two local homeschooling field trip groups through google and should be meeting more home school moms soon. I wish there was a montessori group where I live.
