I know the saying, but I really need all three!
I'm a fan of the "nine months on, nine months off" philosophy and so far it's worked fine. Usually by nine months pp I'm roughly where I was pre-baby and a few months of intentional eating and exercise (South Beach/Tupler Technique instead of just routine healthy eating/activity) has me happy. However...
I'm 6.5 months pp at the moment. I just learned (yesterday) that there is a huge family reunion planned for mid-May. A four generation, multi-continent, family reunion. I would really like to look a little more fit and fabulous since these are people I know but, in some cases, have never met in person.
I'm less concerned about the numbers on the scale and more concerned with fitting into my nicer pre-baby clothing and shedding the pp double chin thing... but I breastfeed and have three young children to care for. I have no child care options so anything I do will need to include my littles. I have no budget for gym memberships or new exercise gizmos anyway. And I don't want to risk my milk supply with a drastic diet shift. Oh, and I have a pelvic organ prolapse so I can't do things like jump rope, pilates, lifting or running.
Any ideas? It's still snowy around here but it's warming up into slushy/rainy season. I've thought about putting ds in the ergo and dd2 in the stroller (so I can make better speed) and walking. In the past I've used the Tupler Technique for exercise and South Beach for focused nutrition but that generally took a month or two to put everything "right" and I was starting closer to "normal" anyway.
Anyone have a good, fast, cheap favorite? Thanks!
