storing diapers

DS has finally out grown the first size of his prefolds. I'm going to wash them and want to box them up and store them in the attic for the next baby. Is there anything special I should do to them before I put them away or can I just wash like normal?

Thanks!

I think they should be fine just in a box, but you might want to seal them in a bag or something if the attic isn't climate controlled in some way. I don't think you should have any problems with mold or anything as long as they are fully dry when you store them.

If you might have mice, I wouldn't pack them in cardboard - use plastic like a rubbermaid tub. Or you'll have a surprise waiting for you.

Thanks ladies! I just wanted to make sure there wasn't any special washing or anything I should do to them first. I'll have to go out this week and get a plastic bin to put them in.

Can't believe he's outgrown them already

you might also want to hang onto some to use as doublers.
