Games for 1 yr old and 3 yr old to do together?

DD is almost one and DS just turned three. We're really working on fostering a good relationship. One piece that I could use some help brainstorming are fun games that they can play together. I'm not looking for pre-packaged games but general activities they could enjoy doing together.

For example, we love to play "Chase brother" where I zoom the baby around after her brother. Can you please let me know some of the favorites in your household between young siblings?

Hi! I have an only child, but when he was a toddler this was his favorite game. It's very silly, but he enjoyed playing it with his parents and his toddler-age cousin. We called it "silly circle" and it was just a hula hoop we would lay on the floor, and we'd take turns going into the circle and doing something silly (like doing a goofy dance, or acting like a monkey or something.)The turns would just last a few seconds and then the next person would hop into the circle and be silly. Easy enough for a 18 month old to get the hang of, and it's just kind of fun to laugh and be silly together.


Another game DS and his cousin loved when they were about that age (1-3) was "star search". We just cut out 3-4 nice big star shapes out of cardboard and then hid them (in plain sight) while the children waited in the other room. Then we'd say, "ready!" and they would toddle out and try to find all of the stars. They LOVED this game and it was very cute to watch them play.

I know it's simple but hide and seek. mine have always loved that, even stiiting still and taking turns with a blanket etc

My kids played a lot of "chase-em" at that age (they actually did the chasing themselves - my 3yo crawled for the game until my 1yo was walking/running) and they would pretend to eat together.
