Going back to work on Monday, blah, and have a pumping question

I'm most likely gone for at least 3 feedings. DD is 2 months old, and usually takes 40+ minutes to nurse on both sides. I have enough milk saved in the freezer for DH to feed her while I'm gone on Monday (I'm only working out of the house 1 day a week, thankfully, but even that seem like I'm gone too long ).

My question: is it more important to pump more frequently at work, or to do a longer session? Seeing as though I'm actually AT WORK I can't disappear for 40 minutes at a time 3x a day, but sneaking away to pump more often might be doable.

Thoughts appreciated.

I hope work goes well on Monday.

Have you seen this article? It may be useful for your DH: http://www.kellymom.com/store/freeha...le_feeding.pdf

And for short but more frequesnt pumping, I think that would be a good idea. The more often you pump, even if not for that long, the more your breasts will be stimulated to keep your supply up.

Good luck!

i agree with the suggestion...that was also what I did when I had to return to work....and it even helped me produce more milk
