How do you handle hoarding? Even if it's just "clutter" and technically not "hoarding", how do you deal with it? Is there too much sentimental value these "stuff" or are they just there for a reason and you not understanding it? My gosh please help me understand this for my own sake.

Welcome! Have you read "It's All Too Much" by Peter Walsh? That's helpful.

These are helpful for some people too:

For me, I think it's a matter of finding the motivation, so I do things like schedule playdates at my house, read books, blogs and this forum to get myself motivated. If you do some digging through this forum, you'll find some other great ideas. There is a challenge going on to get rid of 2010 things in this year. I keep debating trying it, but I never do. Maybe it's time for me to start. The other thing for me that makes a huge difference is getting enough sleep and eating well so I have the energy. I can't control sleep right now with my 5.5 month old baby, but I am working on eating better.

Thank you so much for your response. I really need to find my motivation on helping to help clean the house without my mom getting mad for moving stuff around. EHHH

If your Mom is the hoarder, I'd recommend the Yahoo Children Of Hoarders group as another resource.
