Anyone convert their regular bras into nursing bras?

I didn't attempt this with my first child but now I'm thinking of just adding hooks to all my regular bras so they can be detached like a nursing bra.

I've been like a 32 I (yes, apparently that is a real bra size!) since my dd was born and I have invested in a lot of cute, flattering bras. What I found when she was born three years ago is that it was either really difficult to find cute, sexy, flattering nursing bras (and thus for two years I wore really ugly shapeless ones) OR really expensive.

So I want to see if this might be a possibility. But I'm worried about the strength of the bras after I do this and how well it will work. So I ask you: anyone tried this? Any tips you can offer me? Where did you get the clips/fasteners?

TIA!!!

I haven't tried it, I do have this link stored away for when I need it.

I make custom bras from scratch and I've also helped others convert regular bras into nursing bras. If anyone needs tips on bra altering/making just send me a PM.

After the first couple of weeks, I just wear regular bras and push the cup to the side. I'm sure it's terrible for the bra, but they weren't expensive and only fit while I'm pregnant or nursing anyway. I could never find a nursing bra that I liked or that was affordable.

Hi - I'd like to have you perhaps convert a bra for me. How can I reach you beside PM? Do you have an email address?
