what time does your baby go to sleep?

What times does your baby go to bed for the night and wake up for the day???
6-30 pm ish over here. Wish it was more like 7/30ish but he is a horrid napper ( just catnaps all day) and is falling apart by 5 pm. Its a stretch to keep him up till 630. He wakes up every 2-4 hours all night long to nurse and is up for the day around 6 am. He is 5 months old.

My daughter is 8 months old and we typically put her down for the night around 7pm. She wakes up 1-3 times a nap for a quick nurse and then goes back to sleep. On the days that I have to work, if she is not up by 6:45am, then I wake her up to nurse her before taking her to daycare.

She has not been napping very well lately though and has been a bit of a growly bear in the evenings when she gets tired. If it is within an hour of bedtime, I try not to let her fall asleep and distract her as best as I can with a bath, massage, book and cuddle time before bed.

My babe is 5 months too and also a cat napper. He has a cat nap at 6:30,7ish for 20 minute or so and then goes to sleep for the night around 9. He has a 2-4 hour stretch b/c he is in dh's arms while I get my stretch of uninterrupted sleep, and then he nurses pretty much every hour until he wakes for the day around 7ish. He goes down for a first nap at 8:30 or 9ish in the morn.

usually around 9 we'll settle in for some tv/laptop time and he'll nurse/sleep on my lap, then we go to bed at 11. typically we wake up as dh is leaving for work at 8:45. when we're in bed usually he'll go a 5 hr stretch with out eating but some nights he's on the boob constantly, luckily I can sleep through it.

10:00 if I'm lucky, and he's up most mornings about 7:30, some mornings as early as 5, rarely as late as 8:30.

He shocked the crap out of me last night when he went to sleep at 8 and slept until 9 (daylight savings, so really 8).

And he'll be 6 mos in a week.

My son is almost 6months old and goes to bed from 11pm-7am. He's quit napping lately and is extremely fussy (sigh...6month growth spurt? ). We're trying to get him to sleep earlier though -- we're aiming for 9pm.

He use to take 3 small 1hour naps.

Nurses 2-3 times a night.

My DD is 7mo and is generally asleep by 7:30-8:00pm and up around 6:30am.

Usually around 11 and up around 10 am. She usually nurses twice during the night. She takes 3 or 4 naps a day usually 1 is about an hour and the others are about 30 minutes. We try to make it earlier, but I am homeschooling my older dd and both girls get up around 10, so it works. With the time change, we are going to have to move it back, though. ETA, the baby is 5.5 months old.

it varies

I don't hold to any schedules here for anything. We eat when hungry (graze on healthy foods anytime, stick to protein and veggies for the 6 yo near her sleep time) and sleep when tired. dd1 sleeps anywhere from 8.5-12 hrs at a stretch and has recently fallen into a pattern of sleeping at night since her father was laid off and is home all the time to set the example () dd2 has been going to sleep at about 2:30pm and staying down until 3 am. Last week she was going down for her big sleep at 6 am and staying asleep until 5 pm... and today she went to sleep at 6 pm. She will wake around 6 am. it sounds like your baby is getting enough sleep, they need 12 or more hours until they are 7 or 8 yo, if a baby or child isn't getting that much I would be looking into what they are ingesting, like caffeine or HFCS or Food colors.... cuz not enough sleep does make for crankiness. I know I am odd one out for not having a schedule, but I love it. When I have tried to use one or an alarm clock again, it makes me miserable. Oh and my 16 mo is pretty much attached to my boob throughout our sleep cycle, maybe off them for 2-3 hrs of it it seems (hard to say since I am asleep... hehe) a few times she has slept for 4-5 hrs without being latched on (like 10 or so times)

My DS is asleep anywhere from 6:15-7:00 pm depending on if he had is late afternoon nap or not (which is usually not), and wakes up anywhere from 6:00-7:30 am.

DD goes down at 7:30pm and wakes up at 6am. She's 9 months, and has been doing this since around 6 months.

i have been trying to get DS to sleep at around 8 ish, so i can have a little time to myself, this works off and on. lately it's on and he wakes up around 8 am. we co-sleep and i'm not sure how often he nurses in the night but it seems frequently.

2.25 yr old goes to bed around 9 or so. Takes 1 2-3 hr nap in the afternoon. Wakes up between 7 and 7:45 am.

7 month old is usually ready for bed by 8-8:30. She wakes up to nurse, but who knows how often. We co-sleep (and I sleep great). She will stay in bed with me until after 8, sometimes to 9. (dh gets up with dd1) It's wonderful.

ETA the baby takes 2-3 naps a day. 1 of those is 2 hours, the rest are catnaps.

We're working on getting DS down by 11 pm, he used to stay up till 1:30 and then sleep in. He usually goes down around midnight wakes for the first feed between 4 and 6 am and wakes up between 7 and 9. He naps a lot during the day though to make up for the short night. He is 10 weeks and still figuring out a schedule.

In the good old days (at 6-8 mos), he would go down around 9pm and be up for the day around 8am.

He is now 10 mos, and it's like a switch has been flipped. These days, he is usually not asleep until 11pm and awake for the day around 8:30-9:30 am. He sleeps less hours at night than my 4yo... but he still naps 2-3 hours per day.

This late schedule worked just fine until recently, as the kids and I were able to sleep in late in the mornings. Now that I sometimes have to be up at 4 am for work, these late nights aren't going over so well with me... but they still get to sleep in so they're still pretty well rested.

At 5-6 months old, mine went to bed around 7, and up at 5:30. He still took 3-4 naps a day at that point, though (for 1-3 hours each).

Both of mine have had that 5:30 wake time (which happens to be when daddy and I get up) until they drop to 2 naps a day.

The 7:00 bedtime really isn't early enough, but daddy doesn't get home until 6, so we make it work.

Since my son got on a pretty good nap routine around 5 months old (he's almost a year old now), he has gone to sleep really early (5:30-6:30pm) and wakes up early (around 6am). But because of daylight savings, he actually went to sleep at 7:45 last night and slept until 7:30! I hope we stay on this schedule!

At 3 months old, she goes down at 9pm, I wake her at 12a-ish to eat, then she's down until 8am. After her morning nursing, she usually sleeps for another 2 hours or so.

Mine is 10 months, and goes to sleep somewhere btwn 9:45 and 11:00 at night. He gets up btwn 7 AM and 9 AM. He wakes up to nurse (and with a wet diaper) about 4-5 times. He used to sleep longer and wake up dry, so I feel like the urge to pee is waking him more than the hunger. I'm going to get out my sleep books for some tips.

Naps are here and there, 10 mins to an hour, usually on my lap. I'm just starting to work on napping in the crib.

My son is 8 months old. Bedtime varies but is usually between 9 and 11 p.m. (mostly between 9 and 10 p.m. lately-- knock on wood ). He was waking up at 8 or 9 a.m. (he does eat at least once at night), but he has started waking up at 7-7:30 a.m., clearly still tired, then sometimes going back to sleep for another hour or so... sometimes not. This morning, he woke up at 5 a.m. when his dad had to leave for work unusually early, and he stayed awake until 6 a.m.

He is keeping me guessing regarding his nap "schedule" lately, too. It used to be a bit more predictable. I imagine he might be "reorganizing" his sleep such that he takes fewer naps and maybe goes to sleep earlier at night, but we'll have to wait and see for sure.

Anyway, it is nice to hear that I am not the only one with a baby who stays up past 7:30 p.m.; if he goes to sleep at that time, it is for a nap, not for bed.
