Not sure what to make of these OPKs -Update and question...

Update @ 8pm...
Let me preface this with...
I just took 2 more from fresh urine. (LOL at fresh). Anyways, a $ tree and another IC. The IC was Neg and the $ tree was +. Awesome. From a FF standpoint, what would you put? - or +? I wish it had the choice for both... LOL....I'm hoping my temps will lead the way, but lately I have had some wonky cycles so I don't want to sway it either way.

************************************************** **

All of these were taking from the same cup of urine, about 15 minutes apart just a little while ago. The 3 ICs on the bottom (the bottom one I took first and couldn't believe it was + so took a few more) are all from the same batch.

The top is a $ tree (is it +? Both lines are kind of faint...)

I'm on CD 10. No EWCM. Here is my chart.

I doubt I'm ovulating yet, but this is super frustrating....I'm using the OPKs because my cycle is all over the place (between nursing a 19 month old and a miscarriage at 12 weeks in Feb). I bought 50 of those IC OPKs, should I toss them all? Has anyone else ever had mixed results from the same urine before like this? http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...1/cc42ed3e.jpg

No CM. The bottom is + though, right? I'm not sure about the $ tree, they look the same color but I'm used to the control line being dark, not faint. I might be gearing up, but why on earth aren't I getting the same result? I'm just annoyed that I have 5 bags of these things in my drawer....what a bust.

the bottom looks like a positive. but, they r internet cheapies... i wouldn't trust them. do u have any clear blue opks? i love those, i get positives on answer brands all the time and the clear blues only give me positive the day before my positive.... good luck to u!

I wish I had some better OPKs. Argh.
I started taking these early this cycle because I totally missed out last cycle (started at 1 DPO, oppsie).
I know you get what you pay for, but really now....they are useless if they give the wrong result.

yeah. i dont care much for opks. im still using them, but you know, i've never taken 4 from the same urine, i've just trusted the one. maybe this would happen every time? these things are really for the birds. might as well get out my old magic 8 ball... "am i about to ovulate?" "my sources say no..." "

That's the thing, you think you're getting a deal but you're not.
If I need to use the best 2 out of 3 each time, might as well pry open the piggy bank and get the good ones.

"Am I about to ovulate?" "Try again later".

Wow....talk about frustrating for sure! I agree that the bottom one is positive, and the $ store one too. I thought if it was the same color or darker it was positive, and to me, the dollar store one looks to be the same color.

Honestly, when I used internet cheapies, I was testing 2 times a day and still thought I must have missed the surge when I conceived my son.....looks like maybe I didn't miss the surge, maybe the IC's are just that....cheap!

Maybe I should say thanks for the reminder, I was about to go buy a ton of internet cheapies...but gosh, that's so annoying to get such different results!!!!!

oh that's simple. you just put....you use....well, you... hmmm.

wait! i know- maybe those opks, follow me here, are trying to tell you ONE of your ovaries is ready to ovulate, hence, the pos, and the other.. isn't.... huh, huh?

In FF, it should give the choice when you go to the test tab for positive, negative and then "wtf".

But I might be gearing up, I think I saw some EWCM a little while ago. How exciting (I need to get a life seriously).

I haven't had much CM lately, not last cycle at all. And I've been looking.
What is ovuwatch? If I'm still kicking around next month I'm buying the digital OPKs. No guessing. I did buy some preseed this cycle but I haven't used it yet, I keep forgetting. My husband woke up this morning and gave me the stink eye and said he knew I was up to something. We have to go through this charade where I have to pretend we are NOT TTC because he doesn't like being treated "like a turkey baster"...his exact words.

Not that TTC isn't stressful enough, without having to con my husband into romantic interludes while our 2 toddlers are either flushing train tracks down the toilet or torturing the cat. I mean, really now...which is why phoney OPKs get me all huffy (I don't want to DTD for nothing... )
How about you try to DTD today and then two days from now if you cant bd each day or would DH get suspicious?? I think you will be Oing very soon...
the ovwatch, or my "love watch" as my dh calls it, is this device you wear on your wrist while you sleep, and it has this little sensor that detects an ion shift, theoretically 4 days minimum before you o. it is something that happens before the lh surge. if it works perfectly, you would have full knowledge of the entire 6 day fertile window, not have to pee on anything, not have to interpret any lines, not have to worry about defective cheapies, etc etc. actually, if it really works that well, you wouldn't even have to temp (gasp!) but, i dont really trust it yet. it needs to prove itself, so im still doing everything else too. and i totally hear ya about the seducing of the husband. everytime i look at him he says "i know what you are up to- your love watch says we need to do it, doesn't it." but it hasnt said anything yet except "not fertile." it's supposed to countdown 4 fertile days, 2 o days, and 2 post o days, just for good measure. it's almost cd 10 now as i type this, and i am expecting an o on cd14 or so, so we will see if anything happens soon.
and it's not cheap, but it would probably pay for itself in like 2 cycles if you could give up the opks!
I just looked at the pictures, the bottom one total is + and so is the $ tree one I would say ....

With the cheap OPK I buy I sometimes test with 2 or 3 of them to see if they all give me the same answer and so far so good with the brand i have now.

I did buy some other cheap ones before and they were utter . I still have some at home as I didnt even bother using them.

I also had EWCM yesterday and I also had a little the day before. I never get EWCM this early in my cycle (CD10/11) ..I’m going to put that down to EPO that I’m taking

Seems weird reading that you and karmab have had ewcm, first thing i thought was ME TOO!! lol

First off, I love that we all have EWCM kismet.

Karma, I'll check out the Ovwatch. I've never even heard of that.

I got a - OPK on the IC right before bed and my temp was still down this morning. I'll keep temping. I've been through enough anovulatory cycles that I've seen +OPKs and no O, but never quite this early. something will happen.

Mumma, I'm already scheming up ways for seduction today. He was going to go surfing which would put him in a great mood but I guess it's too windy (he had that crazy storm this weekend). I was victorious yesterday which is when his eyebrow got raised. Ha.
