spray for veggies and fruit?? worth it??

I bought a veggie/fruit spray at the grocery store. It was kind of expensive, and am wondering if it is worth it. I've heard about the sprays on apples etc and it is good to spray before you eat. BUT, the label said to rub the spray on anything for 60 seconds. I don't think anyone in my house has the patience for that.

IS there something affordable that is better??

I think vinegar will do the same thing. Anyone know? I buy organic, so I only need to rinse

If it were me, I would peel a non-organic apple. I'm not sure a "veggie wash" will remove all pesticides, as I'm pretty sure they would sink through the skin.
