How much acidophilus do I need to take to stop a yeast infection? Need advice!

Hi all. Well I was recently on a course of antibiotics and now I feel like I could possibly be getting a yeast infection. Right now I am just kind of itchy. Anyway I bought some acidophilus tablets but they are only 1 billion CFU per tablet and it says to take just 1 per day. I really would like to try to keep this infection from getting worse and I dont know if the 1 billion CFU is going to be enough.... Can anyone tell me how many of these I need to take?? I really appreciate any advice!!

1 billion cfu is not a lot. I'd take one 3-4 times a day. I'd stop dairy and wheat for a week. Consider yogurt with live cultures orally or topically.

thanks for the link... I know how bad antibiotics are for your gut flora.. I hate taking them .... I got some new probiotics with 2 strains of acidophilus and 2 others... Its 4 billion CFU. I think I might just take another one ... I am wondering if this will be enough to take care of it or if I need to use monistat to get rid of this for good...
