Did you know?

Did you just know - have that gut feeling, etc...when your baby was going to be born?

Something is telling me I won't make it to my due date - that baby will come a few weeks early (which actually will be right on time for them! - I see me going at a few days past 38 weeks and thats only a few weeks away! lol)...

I could be wrong thoug - only can wait and see!

But interested if anyone else just knew?!

Yes, when I found out I was pregnant with my 3rd based on O I was due 2/26, according to LMP 2/21 but even at 6 weeks I "knew" she was coming 2/10 the whole pregnancy. My mom couldn't fly out until 2/12 and it was my Drs only weekend off so I whispered to my DD to try and hold out until Mon 2/13.Sure enough she came at 1:11 on 2/13 just hours after my mom had arrived but a little to early for my own Dr to be there, she took the Monday request very seriously.
I've never felt that with any of my others even though I ask.

my experience was funny. as soon as i knew i was pregnant (which was a few days after DTD and ovulation and stuff--but i knew because of a dream), i knew that i was due "around my dad's birthday"--aug 30/31.

now, everyone else gave me dates from Aug 17 to aug 27. but i just figured it would be on the 30/31. it just seemed right.

as i got closer to that date, i had no prodomal labor, no sense that anything was going to happen. i just felt normal and pregnant. baby was very active, etc. same old, same old!

so, i thought "maybe i'm wrong, maybe it will be a bit longer."

went into labor on the 29th, baby born on the 30th.

I have clearly proved myself to have NO intuition. I haven't had any "intuition" about my pregnancies before this last one, but this time from very early on I had a feeling this baby would come early (as in, prior to 40 weeks, since I've never gone before that). I had no reason to feel that way, but it was crazy how sure it felt to me. Ha...didn't happen. Not sure WHY I felt like I was going to go early, though...because I generally try to spare myself the agony and avoid letting any ideas like that get into my head.

I knew with my second (mw care/hosp birth) they day I would go into labor and the sex and I was exactly right. With my third (up/uc) I just *knew* all these details, it was crazy: I knew that I would have a boy, I could just feel it in my gut. I knew that he would be 9lbs 1oz 21in long and born on August 27th. I just knew all of it so deep within me, and I was TOTALLY wrong My daughter was born sept 1st (her due date and also labor day) and weighed in at 7lbs 15oz and was a whopping 19in long. I had to eat my words to a lot of people

Hey zoebird I'm due on my dad's b-day this time, sounds good to me lol.

I knew, but I didn't know I knew, if that makes sense ds was due on the 7th, and I knew there was no way I would be lucky enough to have a pregnancy that short for the first one(i.e. 40wks) then my MW started talking NSTs and induction at 42 wks, and I knew he wasn't going to stay in that long. and my DH had a game on the 14th, so, as luck had it, he was born during what would have been his game(obviously he missed the game )

I "knew" I would have my daughter on 5th June, although her predicted due date was 23rd May.

She squeaked in at 23.15 on the 5th, after a hospital transfer & intervention (from a planned homebirth).

Hi Ann! Congrats on your pregnancy! I haven't seen you around in awhile and remember you from your stay in the June 09 DDC. I'm so glad that you've got a sticky one.

To answer your question, I had no idea, and Evie came later than my "absolute latest this kid better be here by" date.

Yes in a way

With my daughter i was due 9/10 or 9/11 based on O, 9/9 based on pregnancy wheel. My dad was in Iraq my whole pregnancy, he came home the weekend of my baby shower 8/10, my daughter was born 8/11. She had great timing because my dad had got orders to move to Va the first week of September, so if she hadn't been born then he wouldn't have gotten to see his first grandchild Oh yeah and they tried saying my dates were wrong because of how big she was 7lbs 13oz 20" born at 35wks6days.

My son it was memorial weekend, we had been joking that he would come that weekend, well on 5/29 the day before hubby had to go back to work after a long weekend i went into labor, he was born on 5/30. Hubby ended up calling into work and took the rest of the week off. He was born at 38wks 3days at 8lbs 14oz 22"

According to the charts, I was due the Saturday before ds#2 was born. However, I told everyone that his due date was the following Thursday. He was born on Wednesday night, two hours before midnight.

However, with this baby, I have no idea. Sometime in June, thereabout.

Yes, i knew. Ironically it wasn't even my genetic child, as i was a surrogate! I was due April 28th and heavily screened and u/s'ed (which i hated) and they all insisted my edd was April 28th. As soon as I got that edd, i KNEW i'd go on my birthday. The mother would say how she had friends who had birthdays and all hoped I gave birth on those days. And i would tell her with a laugh, "Well i am betting she comes on the 25th". The 25th is my birthday. And lo and behold, little baby girl decided to come on my birthday lol!

This time around i think i'll go on the 30th, even though i'm not due till June 1st. I've noticed a neat pattern. I give birth in increments of 5. First was born on the 15th, 2nd on the 20th, and the last on the 25th! So the 30th's seems fitting and keeps sticking in my head.

As soon as I found out that I was pregnant and did my own estimation of my EDD, I decided I was due July 27, but I felt certain that my DD would be born on Aug 1. My DH was certain that DD would be born around 5 AM, since that was when his alarm went off every morning. So when was DD born? 4:55 AM, August 1

I didn't consciously know, but I went into a weird restless stage. It was Halloween and I was actually encouraging my group to keep walking the streets for trick or treating. We walked so far that some of the teens gave up and called for a ride home. I remember my sister chastizing me and telling me to stop walking. My husband was joking that I ate too much chocolate.

We got to my parents house at 10pm, left there at midnight and then at 4am, I woke up to contractions.

I didn't have any intuition with my other kids but with this baby, I started out assuming and knowing that I would go to 42 (which would be May 14th) weeks because my 4th baby (no induction) went to 42 wks, my 3rd was sectioned at just before 40 wks and didn't look as "done" as my other two, and my 1st and 2nd were induced after 41 wks for my ignorance, both would have probably happily gone to 42 wks.

However, in the last month or so I've been getting the impression that he might come earlier than all my girls did. For one, just because he's a boy (my first) and wants to do things differently than all my girls did or just to be ornery. lol For two, I'm planning on having a friend come up from FL for the birth during my 41/42ish week, I've never planned a birth this well, so I just know that Mother Nature and this baby are going to have a good laugh at me and totally surprise me with something. lol So, now I'm not so sure baby could come any time in the next 2-6 wks. I'm still trying to keep myself prepared for 42 wks so I don't get impatient.

I'm also kind of wondering if the state of my health will impact when the baby comes. I have had more colds and flus during this pregnancy than during any other. I don't think they are going to stop until this baby comes out. I kind of wouldn't mind if baby and my body decided that he needed to come out a little earlier so that I could stop being so sick.

Who knows!

When I was due with #4 we had to make a trip to Ohio for my husband's best childhood friend's wedding ~ We didn't have the baby before the trip like I had hoped.

His buddy told me I had better wait until he said 'I Do' to have that kid ... well apparently Kaden was listening ~ as people were walking out of the church I started having my first contractions ... I went to the reception & danced my way into full blown labor .... he wasn't born until the next evening though because stupid me went to the hospital ... (the stress they put on me because I didn't have prenatal care *I saw a midwife in ND* caused my labor to slow down like crazy)
