DD is Weaning

So, my DD who will be 2 this Saturday is weaning. She gave up her morning milk a few weeks ago and has now gone three nights without it too. She first said milk at bedtime, then she said "how about, song?". It was so sweet. I wasn't expecting her to be doing this now.

The one thing I noticed is that her poop has become hard in the last few days. Could this really be a result of not nursing that one time a day?

what a sweet girl! my ds is weaning now too, and it has taken me a bit by surprise although i'm ready.

yes, i do think less milk is probably what's causing the change in her poop. fruit (other than bananas), whole grains, and beany stuff like lentils or black beans or chili, and just staying well-hydrated should help. happy weaning!

Depending on how much she was taking in possibly. It's bitter sweet when they wean, but I'm happy for you that she is making the choice on her own.
