camping - WWYD?

Four days of tent camping with a 5 month old. There are showers and waste facilities, not sure about laundry. Would you take cloth and tote 4 days of dirties home, or go with sposies?
Any suggestions of sposies? 7th gen, nature babycare?
Thanks!

We go camping fairly frequently, and as much as I love cloth, we've always used sposies while camping or out of town. Even though we end up packing all of our trash out and have dirty diapers either way, it is just easier for us to use sposies.

We use Huggies Pure and Natural...there's probably not too much pure and natural about them (I think the organic cotton is on the OUTSIDE of the diaper??), but they aren't scented and are super soft inside...and haven't leaked.

I would/did use sposies for a camping trip.

I've taken cloth camping once or twice and it was really no biggie. I don't think I had enough to last the whole time, so we used sposies toward the end. You'll just need to have more than one wetbag... but it can be done.

I will confess though that usually when we are traveling more than a couple days, especially by plane, I almost always take sposies cuz I don't like carting around extra stuff.

Either way works!

I would use flats. They are cheap, easy to clean and are not huge and bulky like other CD thus making it easier to 1) hand wash/hang dry or 2) keep in a wetbag. However, I am all about cloth no matter what. Good luck with your decision!

Cloth would be easy to do with a 5month old b/c they aren't super mobile. With a mobile baby who might be playing in the sand it's not the best choice imo, we did that and the little grains of sand were hard to get out of pockets.

If you go with sposies my suggestion is 7th generation, or what about something like Gdiapers where you dispose of the liner? Never used them but might be an idea.

We used gdiapers while camping and that made it much easier, IMHO. I also didn't feel as bad tossing the insert in their garbage...whereas tossing a sposie in there would give me guilt

Wow, thanks! Those are great suggestions.
I do have a couple of gpants. I've never used them with the disposable liners but this would be a good time to try it out!

We did use g-diapers with the disposable inserts to start out with for the first couple of trips. What happened everytime was that the baby pooped and it got all over the liner and the cover. This happened both times, in truck, 1 hour into the trip. For us now, they'd work much better since baby is 10 months old and on solids. Hmm, we don't have g-diapers anymore, but we do have Flip covers and just got a bag of free Flip disposable liners. Maybe we'll try it again for this weekend's trip!
