My cousin is getting married in June and I am trying to decide what to wear. Mom said dress pants- but I am thinking about a dressed down lbd. Since it is on a river boat though I thought I might knit myself a pretty lace shawl for over it. Anyway- I want to make a little one- so you know like 400m of laceweight or something. And lace freaks me out. Mine never comes out looking even. I don't know why. I know how to knit.... Anyway- I have been wanting to knit Aeolin (but I kind of love the big version and want to build up to that) or maybe a swallowtail? All else fails and I will wear my clapotis or a shug or something- but I was thinking this would be good motivation to do lace right..... And make it come out even I hope? Thoughts? Or go with a shug? Or something else?
