Not sure what to do painful nursing?

My dd is just over 2 years old. She can now sleep through the night without nursing and usually only nurses once or twice during the day and maybe before bedtime.

The past few days have been torture for me she wanting to nurse at night and at first it is okay but then my breast ache terribly and I can not stand her nursing. My body's reaction is this needs to stop now!

I feel sad and upset I want her to nurse until she is ready to stop but I do not see how I can do this.

Any chance you are pregnant? That's often an early sign. Or AF is approaching. Some Mamas find that being well hydrated helps, and cometimes calcium and magnesium supplements help too.
