Selling raw goats milk

Does anyone sell raw goats milk and if so how much do you charge? I have seen an astronomical difference in prices when googling it.

Its not legal to sell raw milk in Alaska, so we run a goat herdshare program, where people buy a portion of my goat herd for $25 (refundable). Then I continue to board the animals and I charge $10 for weekly boarding. This entitles the buyer to get 1 gallon of milk a week...

oh we can sell it as long as its marked "not for human consumption" or "pet consumption only"

In Alaska, you also have to put dye in the milk, to mark it as not for human consumption...

The real milk farm we used to get milk from it was $12/gallon

Prices will vary as widely as the risk involved and the demand. It's illegal to sell raw milk in WI (though that looks like it may change...but even then, it will be Grade A dairy farmers, who are thoroughly regulated, certified, inspected, and have the bills to show for it...who will be allowed to pay for a special permit for on-farm sale). I believe I may have heard it could be had from certain bulk tanks in my area for $3.50 a gallon. Self-serve.

I've seen a lot of variation in egg prices, too...anywhere between $1 and $3.50 a dozen.

Holy buckets, I can't believe those prices. I guess it's a different world up here... You won't find it under $10 a gallon and I've seen it as much as $16. Eggs go for $3.50 to $5.50 a dozen.

Wow, no joke. Do you think cost and demand vary enough to explain those differences, mtnmama? That's just huge.

I have paid 2-3 dollars for a quart. Frankly, it's completely worth it to me, and I'd pay more. One of my kids lived on raw goats milk-healthy, and LOVED the taste of it.

Right now I buy it from a local farm (as pet food, of course, we're in FL) and pay $5 a quart! So that would make it $20 a gallon. CRAZY right? We only get a gallon a month, and I try to make it last a really long time.

We get it from the same farm as our raw cow's milk (which is $13/gallon). The goat milk is from the 2 or 3 goats that their 8 year old daughter bought with her own money and she sells the milk to save up money to buy a horse-- so I feel good about supporting her and their little family.

I would love to have my own goat one day....

around here its looking like $4 a quart and $12 a gallon which is pretty gosh darn profitable I think. I mean not like I'm going to be a goat milking millionare but with the three doe's I have rotating so one is bred at all times (no specific breeding season in Louisiana I've learned because we're "equatorlateral") I should be able to make about $100 dollars a week I'm guessing which would be good. Eggs go for about $2 a dozen which with ten chickens I'm thinking about $10 dollars a week. Does this sound right to y'all
