I know many of us are going through tough times but I wanted to share an encouraging word with everyone:
I finally obtained my dream of homeownership before 30. As a single parent I never dreamed I would buy a house on my own. I always thought it would be something I did with my husband, hence the reason I waited until 28. But one day last year I woke up and said "No more!"
I found my house in January and closed on it Feb25. I have never been happier. Sure it's strange with me and my 19 month old in this big 3bd room house but we just lay in the middle of the floor and laugh, eat and play. It's OUR house.
I have a great and supportive family that encouraged me the entire way and my son's father was supportiive as well. as much as I wished he and I were moving into the house together, we didn't and I'm ok with that. This is a new beginning for us and I am so happy. Not to mention I'm only paying $60 more than I was paying in rent.
I say all this to say: there is light at the end of the tunnel. It gets lonely, it gets hard but at some point we finally get to exhale and get what we bust our butts for. Don't ever let someone tell you you aren't good enough or worthy because you are.
