WAY TMI about periods and exercising.

This is such an embarassing question....but I don't know who to ask.

I've been doing super good with calorie counting and exercising and have lost just over 14 pounds in a couple of months. The only time I really struggle and sometimes end up gaining weight is during my period. I do have a blood clotting disorder so that could very well be the cause of it...I don't know.

So anyways, during my period when I wake up in the morning I have to literally RUN to the bathroom before "the gush". Whenever I stand up from sitting I have to run to the bathroom. It's literally like a river when I stand up from sitting or laying down. So I cannot exercise. I cant even go for a walk. I used to be able to use regular pads....now I have to use urinary incontinence pads (the HUGE pads). I've tried the diva cup and I can't figure it out. Tampons don't work. So I can't exercise at all for a week and it really sucks. I don't know what else to do.

Anyone else have that problem and how did you fix it?

I have troublesome periods. I get the gushing a lot too. I might suggest seeing your HCP to rule out any fibroids or something along those lines. If you stalk my posts you will find a lot of good period trouble advice from people here

I have seen my HCP about it, she referred me to a hematologist who found out I have VWD. The hematologist said that the heavy periods aren't caused by the blood clotting disorder. He referred me to a gynocologist who wants me to have an ablation or hysterectomy or take cyklokapron and ponstan.
