So here are my boys...

They are di/di twins. We were told that they were fraternal (but I'm not sure... can they know that for sure without a DNA test?) but they look SO much alike to us!!! Gus, on the left, is about 1/2 lb heavier than Cash.

Oh my goodness, they are so cute! I'm no expert but they look almost exactly the same to me.

It is impossible to tell if di/di twins are monozygotic (from one egg) without the DNA test.

My general rule of thumb is that if Mum even thinks they might be monozygotic, they are. I haven't been wrong yet, but that isn't to say I won't be one day.

As for your boys, I would agree that they look an awful lot alike.

I agree! They are so adorable and look so sweet!

Wow, yeah I would think they are. Adorable!

I've wondered the same thing and we will be testing soon. I think the only other way they might be able to tell is if they have different blood types?

wow, going by those pics i would say so!

and one of our baby boy twins is a cassius (cash) as well!

What she said: di-di twins can be identical. No way to know without a test.

I think the photos you've shared look like identical twins (WAY TOO CUTE, Btw!)

However, I think it's really hard to guess on babes that age. I remember in elementary school there were twins who looked identical. Well, by the time they got into the pre-teen years, it almost looked like they were cousins rather than sisters! Everyone in town spent years saying they were identical because of how they had looked as little girls. But it was more than obvious as teens and adults that they were fraternal.

Well, I certainly can't tell them apart. But I am horrible with that sort of thing. Thank goodness my two are b/g twins who barely look related . They are adorable!!

They certainly look a lot alike to me! And they are ADORABLE!!! I have a very good friend with di/di (what I suspect to be) MZ twins and they were told, of course, that they can't be MZ. It's taken all of us six months to be able to tell them apart. We just now don't have to look at their fingernail polish.

They are absolutely ADORABLE!!!! I, too, would go with MZ. I was in the same boat, and tend to agree: if you have suspicions they are MZ (and they have the same blood type), they probably are. Enjoy those cuties!

Thanks everyone! It's reassuring that so many of you think they may be MZ... I was thinking that we were idiots for getting them confused sometimes! They are about 10 weeks old and we have just become confident enough to let their nail polish wear off!!!

We call ours Cash as well!!! Your baby is the first other Cassius we've "met" so far, lol!

Oh MY they are cute. The one on the right is making some of the best expressions I've ever seen. And they look identical to me

Me and my husband vote for identical (sorry, I had to call him over to look - those two are a hoot!). Hilarious! Their little expressions are too cute! Thanks for brightening my night!!!

Oh, and my husband says, "not only are they identical in looks, they are identical in minds!" They seem to be thinking the same thing - with the same exact expression. You are a blessed woman!

Oh, and by the way, one of our twins is named Augustus, too!! You have great taste in names....

So so so cute!!!! I vote for MZ - even their hair patterns are identical.

OMG, I just burst out laughing at that first photo, partly because they are so darn cute, and partly because how can anyone think those little pumpkins are anything but MZ twins?!
Oh man, I had to post because of the cuteness!

Yeah, I would bet MZ, too. I think my guys look less alike than this pair of beauties, and the last time I posted one of these "identical or not?" threads here, most people seemed pretty certain that mine are MZ. (Mine were believed mono-di as a best guess, but since the earliest ultrasound was at 14 weeks, it was past the time when they could actually count the layers of membrane and say for certain that it was a single placenta and single chorionic membrane.....all signs pointed that direction, though.)

Those are some priceless pics. I remember the big-eyed stares so well! (And all 3 of my kids have eyes where the "whites" are blue, too.)
