Need to fatten that baby up

DD is 12 months and isn't a big eater. She is a boob addict.
She can handle eating just about anything, but its hit or miss as to whether she will take one nibble or eat well.
She has dropped down to the 6th percentile weight wise. 44th for height. She is obviously healthy and developing well so the doctor isn't worried unless she slips further.

I'd like to try to focus on getting her more fat and calories so that we don't slip further. I could use meal and snack ideas.

Which chart is your doc using, the CDC chart, which is based on formula-fed babies, or the WHO chart for breastfed babies? It could make a big difference.

She is closer to the 20th percentile on the WHO chart, but that is a bit of a drop, she used to be around the 40th on the WHO chart

i've been giving my skinny baby cheese cubes and/or avocado every day, and at his last visit, they said he is finally curving back up onto the charts.
he is 11 months, and he will eat half an avocado, or 2 ish oz of cheese as part of a meal.
i feel that he gets a lot of healthy fats from both of these things, and he loves them as well.

Subbing.

We're on the same boat with Miles.

If you eat meat you might like to try making some baby pate. DD has loved it since she was eating solids (we did this instead of baby cereal for the iron). It's very nutrient and calorie dense.

Buy some organic chicken livers and soak in milk for 30 mins. Trim off any yucky looking bits. Fry in butter until just cooked through - a tiny bit of pink in the middle is ok, but no blood. While you're doing this, soak some prunes in boiling water to soften them. Pour them, the livers and their butter into a food processor and blitz until smooth. You can add some heavy cream if you need to thin it out a bit.

Serve spread on toast (I used to really pile it on) or on a spoon. It's nice and sweet (the prunes) and the prunes counteract any constipating effects the liver might have.

When the Dr was concerned about DD's weight (she stopped gaining once she started crawling) I gave her this (you can freeze it easily), avocado, lots of cheese, full fat yoghurt and eggs (normally scrambled).

We were in the same boat at DD's 15 month appointment. Se won't eat avocado so we've been doing whole milk, banana, and pb smoothies, eggs fried in butter and topped with cheese (DH loves these too lol), and cheese on everything.

I used to melt some coconut oil and mix it in with whatever DD was eating. I think the oil helped her maintain both her weight and her health!
