DD blood test results

We finally got some blood work done on DD basically her ND and I were worried she could have a thyroid issue based on her symptoms so here's her results...I'm really trying to figure this out but it's not at all what I expected.

Her thyroid looks pretty good but T4 is slightly elevated.
T4-1.6(high) normal is .9-1.4 so not sure what this means
T3 3.5
TSH 2.56

Creatinine(not sure if speling correct) is low at .30 so this indicates decreased muscle mass so she needs more protein right??? What could be causing this? How much protein does a 21 month old need daily?

Vit D was a little low at a 45.

potassium is high at a 5.7 but we had blood drawn first thing in the am so she didn't have a lot of water so not to concerned about this one for the moment.

Chlosterol high at a 180
triglycerides-84(low)
HDL-37(low)
LDL-129(high)

So this is odd to me. WE eat healthy which in my mind is lots or raw milk, raw cheese, butter, grass fed meats, wild salmon, organic fruit and veg(however DD won't touch a veg), so mainly traditional foods. Anyone know what this means is going on? All I think is her liver may be sluggish but her liver enzymes came back normal. She had everything checked including minerals and all of that was normal. Any thoughts mamas??

Iodine deficiency. How old is your DD? When you had her minerals checked, was it with a 24 hour urine collection?

There is an Iodine thread around here, although I haven't checked that out yet.

There is also a Thyroid thread. Might be worthwhile to check them both out.

I'm pretty active in both those threads(I have Hashis) but what exactly makes you think iodine deficiency? She hasn't done a urine sample only blood work. My ND thought would be kind of difficult for a urine test, she's not potty trained yet. Maybe I'll post again in the iodine thread

I come from the midwest which is typically deficient in iodine. I was on the iodine yahoo group for over a year. I read Dr Brownstein's Iodine book. Even though my tsh/t3/t4 were normal, I did have thyroid nodules and ATA's. Prior to being pregnant I did the 24 hour iodine loading test and result was 67% when 'normal' should be > 90%. I started 25 mg iodine and my thyroid nodule decreased to a pea size from grape size.

That's a really long way to say that I think many people are ioding deficient. Iodine RDA's are extremely low. From my reading it is a minimal amount and not optimal amount for health.

I read that your dd is 21 months old. I'm sure her dose would be much less. The problem is that we are supposed to get iodine from our food, esp. veggies, but that our soil is so depleted that we no longer get what we need.

Did her blood test have results for iodine? Maybe the folks on the iodine thread can discuss the pros / cons of a blood test vs urine test. I agree though, no urine testing for her yet.

Maybe increase by using a drop or two of Lugol's.

Also, aren't are babies more likely to be deficient if we ourselves were deficient in pregnancy? Both in iodine and thyroid?

yes I wondered for a long time now If I was deficient but have hashis and I cna't figure out If I should supp that or not??? However I do think that there are other reasons for thyroid issues that's why I was wondering why you thought of iodine initially.
