toddler blinking alot

hi mommas!
my 2 year old son is blinking at times, mainly while he's smiling at someone. it seems to get worse at night. do you think this is an indication of some health problem? my daughter has a tick in her eye that is only alleviated by DHA vitamins. this started at 18 months for her and has continued to the present; she is now 10.
