DDC- fetal heart tone rate of your baby

Thread Starter
I am due in April. We do not know the gender. There is an old wives tale that talks about the fetal heart tone rate and gender. Not any scientific evidence really to back it up but I think out of all the old wives tales it is a pretty neat one. My last two babies were girls and there heart rates were always in the 140-150's range. Same with this baby. So, can you tell me what your baby's fetal heart tone range was and what gender they were?

Thanks,
Lisa

This wives tale seems to be more accurate around 13 weeks only. Because at 34+ weeks most babies are around the same rate. sorry mama.

My first baby started out in the 150's and moved to the 130s or so as the pregnancy progressed. He was a boy.

This one was a boy too, I think his heart rate was usually 145 or so.

DD's heart rate was always high (140s-150s).

DS's was always high at the OBs office, low, 130 or so, when the MW found it. (I think he was as stressed out by the OB as I was, lol.)

130's and 140's for our boy. Here's a link to a study with some decent graphs on this: http://www.obgyn.net/medical.asp?pag...dubose/ehr-age
