How do you find the time to work out?

Hello,
I'm trying to get back into an working out b/c I haven't all winter and I've put on 15 lbs. Well I've been trying for the past month and cannot seem to actually make the time to do it. Wondering how you work it into your day? I'm a stay-at-home mom w/ a 2 1/2 yr old and 4 yr old. Thanks so much!

I wake up early before everyone else and do a 20-30 mins video or if they nap at the same time, I will workout during their naps (even if thats 2 sessions of 15 mins)..

Sometimes I will just do 10 mins here (jumping jacks, sit ups and push ups for example), there and here and it adds up over the day.

I have been trying to get up with my husband this past few weeks and when he goes in the shower, I go running. I can do 5k in about 35mins. When I get back, dh has ds more or less ready to take to school.
Otherwise, ds quite likes doing a video with me - I have dancy ones and he likes the music!

My gym opens at 5 a.m. and has a 5:30 class that I like to go to. It lasts for 30 minutes so I can get home before DH goes to work. The kids are still asleep and never know I'm gone! I didn't think I would like waking up that early in the morning but it hasn't been too bad. I find that if I wait until evening too many things come up and I'm more likely to miss a workout.

I would recommend the 30 Day Shred, the workout is 20 minutes but a really good intensity. I found that it was so short that I really had no excuse, even with my two year old fussing I just kept at it.

These days I most always wake up early and workout before the kids after #1 and #2 often I would do it in the evening when dh could watch the kids or during the day w/ them but these days this works best.

the only way I've been able to make it happen was joining the YMCA and using their childcare. My kids really like it and so do I! I'm not a morning person and my kids are so there's no way I could get up before them and get anything done.

I do tabata exercises. Tabata means that, after your warm-up, you pick an exercise that you do as hard and as fast as you can for 20 seconds, then rest for 10 seconds. You do 8 reps of this for the full tabata set. So, a whole tabata set takes only 4 minutes. I do 2 or 3 of them a day. I do sit-ups, push-ups, jumprope, lunges, squats, presses, jumping jacks, kettlebell swings, burpees (don't ask, they're brutal,) and tricep dips. On tired, feeling crappy days, I may only do one or two tabata sets. On good days, I might do 4. I always change them up and make sure to work out as many different muscle groups as I can for a full-body workout. For example, I might do tabata sets of sit-ups, push-ups and squats on one day, then tabata jumprope and dips the next. Here's an online tabata timer if you're interested in trying it:

A tabata set should be the longest 4 minutes of your life if you're doing it right, but I love them! It's the only way I can fit in an intense, awesome workout while my son's napping or watching a cartoon. I hope you like them as much as I do!

I jog with my 2 1/2 and 4 1/2 year old in a double jogger, I also have a bike trailer for taking them on bike rides with me. I belong to 24 hour fitness and they have a kids club there for $3 a piece for up to 2 hours while I work out at the gym. I do pilates, yoga, and ab videos during naptimes or even just when they are playing together in the back yard. I convince my family to watch them if I need to go out for a run or bike alone.
