night nursing enough for 12 mo old?

dd is nearly a year old (been nursing almost a year! ). right now she takes two or three 4 oz bottles during the day while i am at work, and nurses probably 6-7 times from the time i get home at 6:30 and the time i leave at 8:30. she is a big night nurser. she eats solids well, too. i'm wondering if i took her off her bottles during the day, would the before/after work nursing be enough for her? i would like to avoid giving her any other type of milk during the day, so she would be getting solids and water from a sippy. does this sound ok? dd 1 was formula fed so this was a bit more cut and dry- she went from the bottle to regular milk in a sippy. i'm hoping to bf dd2 until she self weans.

My son is almost the exact same age, and I just went in to talk to the pediatrician (who is an awesomely supportive holistic doctor) about this, because I'm pregnant and afraid my milk will dry up. I wanted to be sure he would still be getting enough calories/nutrients if he wasn't getting as much breast milk. My ped said the biggest factor is solids. If baby is eating a healthy, varied diet and drinking plenty of water, there is no nutritional need for breast milk after a year. I don't want to give cow's milk either, so I'm hoping she's right and he's fine on just solids if my milk dries up (which it is already decreasing). So I would say you'd be fine just night nursing so long as she's eating well through out the day.
