Cleaner for my cruddy truck...

My truck has a tan interior and the kids have put their feet all over the door panels, door runners, etc. and I feel like I've tried everything and can't get off the dirt...it's like it's rubbed into the texture of the plastic. Also, the leather is a similar issue but stained blue from our jeans, along with dark where shoes end up on it (little kids climbing across to their car seats).

I had it detailed a year ago and the detailers got all this off. They would NOT tell me what they used though.

Ideas? I wonder if a hand-held steamer would work? I don't have one though and don't want to invest if it's not going to work.

Thanks!

Is it real leather or is it vinyl? I just read baking soda is good for cleaning vinyl... I've been googling how to clean a car interior because I'm getting a well loved used car soon.

I use a magic eraser to clean the textured stuff in my van.

Unfortunately it's real leather but I like the magic eraser idea for the plastic....nice!

I've tried so many leather cleaners and the pretty much do nothing. That detailer had something unlabeled that worked like magic!

I had a jeep with leather seats, it was an older car (1991?). I did use the magic eraser on the seats, but they were pretty beat to begin with so I didn't notice any damage.

I''l try the Magic Eraser then. My seats aren't in the best condition anyway...the truck's a 2003 and we live near Phoenix (=HEAT).

Just to update in case anyone is wondering, the magic eraser (was generic) worked wonders on the plastic and the seats. I was very gentle on the leather and it didn't damage it. It didn't get it completely perfect but a huge improvement. I'm planning on driving my truck for many more years so it's nice to make it look a little newer!!
