Scary books for preschoolers?

Does anyone have any book suggestions for a 3.5 year old DD who is really into "scary" books? She loves books that have a story that has a climax like a wolf chasing chickens, or a child being a little spooked by monsters under the bed. She gets excited, a little scared and clings to whoever is reading it to her, and then giggles at the endings. I thought they'd be too scary, but she insists we read them over and over.

Her favourites this week are: "Rosie's Walk", "The Wolf's Chicken Stew" and "We're Going on a Bear Hunt", where there's a build-up to something a little scary, and then a resolution where the "good guy" wins. I think she'll be a horror-movie fan when she's grown up!

Any suggestions?

Annie Was Warned (Halloween)

Bedtime Cat (it's not about monsters, but fear of losing a beloved pet - was the first book with a climax that my daughter really "got" and she looooved it)

In the Haunted House, by Eve Bunting, also Halloween

How about choose your own adventure books? There's some newer toned down ones out that my DD really enjoyed when we introduced on a road trip at 3.5 or you can get the old ones at used book sales.

Who Said Boo! We get it from the library like every other time we're there, regardless of halloween timing.

Also, Mommy? by Maurice Sendak. Greatest pop up book EVER.
