1dpo? So y.esterday and the day before my ovulation tests were very dark especially yesterday. The day before the line was probably the same as the control yesterday it was way darker than the control today though.... its lighter than the control but stil darker than any line I've ever gotten Before. So am I still fertile right now? Did I o yesterday? This is my 1st time ttc even though we both have 2 already. My cm is still lots and very sticky. (Almost like as if u had a runny nose and u blew ur nose) sorry if that's tmi just thought the info might b helpful to someone who knows more about that stuff than I do. I am cd18 or 1dpo..? Oh also my cycles r 28-33 days. If that helps any. If ovulation is over and we did concieve when would my due date be? I think my lenthal phase is about 16 days at least it was this cycle.

Let's see if I can follow....an OPK test is positive when the test line is as dark or darker as the control line. So, from that day, O is usually 12-36(sometimes I hear 48) hours. The positive tests after that are usually sort of pointless...unless of course your body tried to O, but didn't! But, use that first positive test and fast forward 12-48 hours...that's when O should occur.

As for CM...sticky? Or EWCM (egg white cervical mucus)...this is the fertile stuff...the stuff that looks like egg whites and if you try to stretch it between your fingers it will stretch for a couple of inches.

If you are still having fertile CM, I personally would BD one more day! Today, right now, could be O!

But, if you are 1DPO, by my calculation your EDD would be: December 7th.

If O is today, it would be December 8th.

However, most/many OB's will use EDD's by your LMP, so based on that, it will be a few days earlier as they go by a cycle length of 28 days and an O on CD14. So, official due dates will depend on if you go by O date or LMP!

Yeah egg white is a good way to discrib it but as the has passed it is not as abondent as it was this morning.

OPKs can't pinpoint day of O exactly. The only way to do that would be to temp and see a thermal shift. The darkness on the OPK going away doesn't indicate that you O'd either. It only shows that the LH surge that CAN trigger O has gone away. (sometimes you can get the surge and still not O) If you are still having fertile CM (the eggwhite stuff) I say keep DTD and once you see that dry up a couple days, then you will likely have O'd (but again, not for sure without temps) Good luck!

Ok well I understand the importance of temping now. I didn't realize the tests didnt mean I wasn't oing... oh well. We didn't get to bd last night he didn't get off work til 11 and I was up til 3am with dd throwing up. so hopefully sex on the 16th 14th and 13th were enough. If not then next cycle I will chart better and rely on that more than the tests.

yeah charting will help a lot, it wont tell you before you o, it only tells you in hindsight, so both it and opk test have their place. after you temp chart for a while you see your normal pattern and you start to really understand your other pre o signs like CM, and then most ladies dont have to take the opks any more either.

have you read "Taking Charge Of Your Fertility"? great book, will really help you understand charting and your cycle

and as for Due dates, here is a great link that helps you look them up. i like it best because you can do it based on O rather than just LMP and see the different trimesters too

Thank you for all your help. I haven't gotten that book yet. I thought that I was an expert on my body I'm pretty sure I know and feel when I o without tests but I've never temped or charted for proof. Guess proof is important with ttc huh lol. Something tells me that we conceived but I could be wrong. We will find out if af comes or not.
