So, did the amber teething necklace work for you?
Not sure yet, as we have only had ours for 2 days! I'm interested to see what others have to say though. Even if it only helps a little bit, I'll be so happy.

And even if it doesnt work, it sure looks cute on him. Last night we played with him after his bath, and all he was wearing was his necklace, and a brown fleece soaker. DH said he looked like our little jungle cub.

We got matching ones for christmas...neither of us has taken it off. It is cute and nice to have. Teething has been AWFUL!! I have no idea if it helped. She is almost 6 months old and has cut her first two teeth. We both survived and I am hoping the necklace helped. But honestly we couldn't have done it without tylenol, hylands and oragel

Not exactly the answer you're looking for, since I have no babes yet, but I have an amber necklace myself for headaches, and I notice a big difference when I lose it for a few days (my cat likes to steal it off the counter while I'm in the shower and hide it!).

That's probably better evidence...Thanks!

Absolutely without a doubt. We had one on our son, when it fell off he was like a whole different baby. When we got a replacement one he was back to his happy self. I took it off for one day because he had a rash and OMG he was a nightmare - clearly uncomfortable and in pain. Put it back on the next day and he was happy and playful again. No doubt the necklace helps him.

IF it is helping Sophia...then I can't imagine her without it! She teethed for a month and a half and now has 2 teeth. It was every day, with a two day break each week, but the pain seemed non stop...so crabby, I felt bad for her. If the necklace helped then I hope she never loses it.

i can help with the coming up missing part, there is 4 necklaces and 4 bracelets in my home. i had to come up with something to fix the missing ambers. put a hook on the wall, place a little drawstring bag on it and put your amber in it when you bathe and if you forget to put it back on you know right where it is.

hold on....those necklaces are some sort of magic thingee???
this whole time i thought it was to chew on!

Ehhh, not sure. I'm not sure if it helped any, but they're cute and the kids like wearing them. DD1 has been wearing one since she was 6 months, DD2 since birth, and my DS also wears one (I got his when I got DD1's, just because he wanted one too).

They contain a sort of acid that is absorbed in small amounts through the skin and soothe pain.

Amber is brittle so they CANNOT be chewed on whatsoever. Definitely a big choking hazard.

My now 2yo has all of her baby teeth including molars. She's been wearing her amber necklace since about 4 months. She teethed rapidly and non-stop until her last set of molars came in over the holidays a few months ago. I used Hylands a lot to help her with napping because otherwise I don't think she would have napped much. I used tylenol on her maybe 3 times. I think she had an easy time teething. I don't have any way of knowing for sure that it was the necklace, but I wasn't going to take it off to find out. She still had her fussy days and I could tell she was uncomfortable and having tummy upsets at times, but overall I attribute the ease of her teething experience to the necklace. I would without a doubt use it again.

Ok so I have always thought they look adorable on little kids but is a amber necklace all the same? Where is the best pace to get one at? I have a friend who's little guy is having a really hard time teething and wanted to pass the info on to her. Thanks

I didn't vote because DS never wore (never complained about teething). But *I* have worn the amber bracelet for about 6 months. It stops the pain in my lower back. It also stops the "computer wrist" and "mouse finger" on my right hand.

The bracelet broke a few nights ago (after 6 months of round-the-clock wear, except for showers). The neckace doesn't seem to provide as much relief, for some reason.

Yes! When I forget to put my bracelet back on after a shower, my back pain comes back after about 12 hours. Sometimes, I won't even notice that I forgot to put the bracelet on, I'll just notice my back is aching, and I'll think, "Have I strained it in some way?" and then I'll notice that the bracelet is not on.

You want to get one that is specifically for babies. They have breakaway clasps and each bead is individually tied. Sorry, no recs for a place to buy...

We bought ours from Amber Artesians. It takes a while to get them because they are made to order and shipped from Lithuania, but they seem very well made and worth it. The beads are individually knotted on the strand, and the clasp is a break-away type. We ordered 3, a matching set for DS & I, and one for my mother to try for her migraines.

So far I am totally in love with mine just because I love the way it looks!! I really think it may be helping my neck/shoulder pain that I've been getting from hunching over to nurse.

I'm not sure if I can tell if its helping DS yet or not... but I've been wearing mine 24 hrs a day, and I take DS's off at night. Do you other mamas leave your LO's on at night? Could it possibly not be helping him much because he has it off all night? This morning he was SOOO upset. Not even rocking or nursing helped. I rubbed his gums with my finger and that took the crying down by half, and I finally got him into a nap. We put his necklace on him this morning right when he woke up but he was already distressed then.... poor guy.

Absolutely!!! I have used one for my last 2 babies, and it is like night and day. My DH can even tell, when he gets home from work there'll be days where he says "She's not wearing her necklace is she?", and sure enough I forgot to put it on. They are amazing! I got ours from a store on Etsy, I think it shipped from Latvia.

I got DD's from Inspired By Finn.

ok so I have another question. Do you want to wear the amber as close to the source of pain as you can? I have carpel tunnel but don't like bracelets or necklaces. But it seems that I would get the best pain relief from a bracelet on that wrist. Is this true?

Thanks
