yes we wear them 24-7 except when in water. this includes my ds from 3 months. i dont like the brake away stlye it was always coming off and ds corroded. since i had them custom made i sent it back to have it remade with the amber screw clasp. both of my dc have necklaces that are longer then the standard 14 inch. once totally relaxed (knots tighting up) they are 20 inches.

Thanks
yes it is true that is why the babies are to wear necklaces because it is closer to where the pain is, but anywhere is better then no where. the lady i bought my amber from has a coil style of bracelet that can be worn higher up on the arm or ancle. i got one for my mom because of it not needing to be done up it just wraps around.

Are they not supposed to get wet? I've seen that they should be worn day/night except while bathing, but what about drooling?

since the amber is under the shirt it is not so bad if they drool and i do say IF because the amber reduces drooling if not totally stopping it.

Why shouldn't they get wet?

My guess is so the silk string the amber is beaded on will last longer.

We are covered there.... DS has 3 chins right now, so the necklace is protected from drool even on the worst days

I've been leaving his necklace on at night, and he has definately been happier in the mornings. I get huge grins from him when we wake up instead of fussing and scratching. And he has been awesome at napping! We moved into a new (for us, its actually older) house last week, and DH has been banging and pounding and running tools non-stop. DS slept through all of it, except for the day that I forgot to put his necklace back on after a bath. Cant say for sure thats what it is, but it sure seems like it.

We just bought one yesterday. I haven't noticed any miraculous difference yet but dd2 has got some other things going on. I hope it helps though.

I was skeptical about the amber teething necklaces, but after reading people's experiences here I decided to give it a try. After two days of wearing it, my dd stopped chewing on her fingers and constantly drooling! I'm hoping it will help when her teeth really start cutting through.

I got mine from Inspired by Finn and they offered to give away a free necklace on my website. They have lots of info about how to choose a necklace too. Most important is that the lighter the amber and the more opaque it is, the more theraputic it is.

To enter this drawing visit WWW.MYHEALINGSOURCE.COM

You'll also find a code for a 20% discount off of any purchase on the Inspired by Finn website!

Me too. I just googled it because of this thread. I thought it was a necklace that they nibbled on.

Hard to say for sure, since I almost never take it off, but it seems like it helps! Gave a bracelet to my mom for her wrist arthritis - we'll see what she says. Anyway, it's pretty!
