My 2yr old got sick the week of my c/s. She had an ear infection; itchy rash on her trunk and no fever. (This came almost a week after a cold).
I never got the cold. But right after my c/s - I noticed my ears felt full of fluid (not painful yet - just muffled & a little pressure); then I got the rash on my trunk 1 day PP. (The docs just thought it was a reaction to the elastic in the abdominal binder I has on.) I also started to get body aches - but again chalked it up to being part of post-surgery recovery.
Putting it all together last night. Same symptoms as my daughter. So, no fever (although I am taking pain medication that may mask a fever); no cold symptoms; my ears only painful after laying down or chewing on something harder. No cold symptoms. LOTS of body aches & itchy rash that drives me crazy at times.
Any thoughts on things that may help me speed the recovery? I know my body will take longer than usual - just because of the stress & recovery of a c/s. But besides rest, fluids, vitamins, and echinachea/ golden seal root. Anything else that might help? (and yes, I am breastfeeding.)
