Pregnancy Test Question

ok, this is going to sound like a crazy question coming from a 5x mom, but here it goes...

I am about 1 week late so I took a pregnancy test and there is one dark line and one really pale thin line. All the other times both lines were super dark and wide. Does this mean I am pregnant, not pregnant or just got a faulty pregnancy test? We are really excited but I dont want to start calling people until I know for sure.

Normally I would say you are pregnant (like if it was a First Response or one like that) but apparently blue lines are notorious for false faint thin line positives.

It's a pink dye test. The kind you have to pee in a cup and use a little dropper to transfer the urine to the test. Does that mean I am pregnant? lol I feel so silly asking this, shouldn't I know this stuff? lol

Did the line come up right away (within 10 min)? Is it a dollar tree test? The only reason I ask, that is the only pink dye test that I've had a very convincing evap with ... several times ... but always outside of the time limit.

Yes, its one of the cheapie $1 test. I have used them in the past and they worked great this is my first "iffy" test. Yes also on it not showing up at first. I am use to the second line showing up pretty much immediately and this time that did not happen. I thought it was negative got busy forgot about it and about 1/2 an hour later went to the bathroom saw it and was going to throw it away when I saw the faint thin line. Unfortunately I can not post a pic. We are in the middle of moving and I have no clue were the cord from the camera to the computer is.
My husband says to just keep a lid on it and wait until this weekend and he will pick me up a more expensive test then. I have been having morning sickness... but the stomach flue is going around, so I cant really be sure about that even. The smell of coffee is making me sick I am crazy tired. All the signs are there so I am going to be devastated if the next test is negative.

I say get some more $tree tests. It sounds like that one was outside of the time line, so it could be incorrect, but if you read it inside the time frame, it should be pretty accurate.

My BFP didn't show up immediately on a $tree test, but it did show up within the time frame.

But there is the problem. I looked at it when I first took the test, I am use to it being immediate. And then I saw it again 30minutes later. I have no idea when the second line showed up. But you know, that is a good idea. The dollar test have always worked in the past, maybe I should go ahead and save the money and get another one. Thanks for the advice.

The one time I had a weak positive was when I used a test that had expired. I think I had it laying around for almost 4 years from TTC DD. But I bought another test and it gave a blazing positive. I think I actually bought a 3rd this time because I didn't want to get my hopes up for nothing. Sort of cracks me up now because I triple checked when I was pretty dran sure the first one was a blazing +. My guess is you are pregnant, but I would buy another test to check. Why wait?
