are tie on diapers available in the US?

I want to try a Disana tie nappy or something like it soooo bad. But I can't find them anywhere, except from European websites. I'm not sure I want to pay that much for them, with the higher value of the euro and the international shipping. I probably couldn't afford to try them that way. Are they available in the US at all, does anyone know?

OR, could I make one? I've never seen one in person, so I'm not sure what type of fabric I'd need to use. They're somewhat stretchy, right? I have a bunch of GMD flats that I could use, but they're not stretchy at all...

Any ideas? Thanks!

I have some that I got from another mama. Perhaps you could try to get them second-hand? They're really lovely.

If you are in US, I just found a Texas site:

ETA Sorry it seems they are out of stock, perhaps ask when they will be in (?)

russsk, yes, I'd love to find them used! No luck so far though! Thanks.
Asiago, yeah, I checked that site, but they're out of stock, and have been for quite a loooong time. But thanks for the link

This is the place I found them. They're out of stock at the moment, but they get them in periodically.

ETA - I also want to point out that all the pictures I see of the tie nappies have them loose and baggy... they will neither stay on a wiggly child nor will they catch poo if they're tied like that. There's a trick to getting them on so they'll stay on and catch poo, and once you have it down it's not a problem.

I just saw some today when I was doing some ordering. Let me think where it was. I know they were made in the USA

The only websites I've seen them on are tinybirdsorganics and organiclittlefeet, and both are out of stock.

I don't mind if they aren't made in the US, I just want to buy them from the US (as in, in US dollars with reasonable shipping charges).

I tried to get some on ebay last night but I lost the auction.

I think I want to try to make them. Any ideas of what I should use/how to do it?

If you look in the diaper making subforum, the basics of the tie diaper were discussed a month or so ago.
