The title says it all. How do I make good tasting BEEF bone broth. My chicken broths are excellent but my beef broths are not good IF your beef broth is good please tell me exactly what you do. THANKS!!

PS Just how bad is using an aluminum pot to make the stock in? It is all I have to use...

We are only mildly TF, but here's what I do. I get my beef bones and put them in a roasting tin and roast them until they are nice and brown, adding my veg about halfway through (celery, carrot, onion). Then I chuck them all in a stock pot (I got a cheap stainless steel one from Ikea) and cover with water - about an inch past the top of the solids. Then I bring it to the boil and turn it down to a low simmer - a bubble should appear at the top every few seconds. It def shouldn't be boiling. I let it simmer all day then strain.

Sometimes I will then reduce it down further to make a demi glaze to use as a suace (mmmm) or so it takes up less space in my freezer (you'd add water to make it back into a broth).

Garlic! I add it to everything and it all (except the desserts) tastes better with more garlic!

I wouldn't use an aluminum pan, personally, but I did use one for years before I knew better and I'm not dead or crazy yet.

I personally don't like beef bone broth with veggies, etc. added, it tastes too gamey to me. So I just simmer the bones alone and I get a much more neutral-tasting broth that I can then use as a base for almost any soup or sauce.
