Need new detergent - rash

We need to switch detergent b/c DS has developed a rash and the Dr. thinks it might be the detergent. We currently use Planet for everything, including CDs. The rash started on his belly, expanded to his diaper area and is now starting to show on his arms/legs. The Dr. thinks maybe the diaper area didn't get affected right away b/c I do an extra rinse cycle with those.

First course of action is to switch detergents to see if this is the problem. If not, we go to the pediatric dermatologist.

Please give me your recommendations - I have a front loader, HE washer.

A few years ago, we went through this with my other child, and we stopped using Charlie's and ended up using Trader Joe's brand. I have a slight preference for liquid, but will use powder. Would prefer something I don't have to order online.

Oh, and side note - we use a mix of BG 3.0s, 2.0s and AIOs. At this early stage, I'm not willing to move to all natural fibers unless the detergent switch doesn't work.

Thanks!

Crunchy Clean!!! I LOVE crunchy clean. They have hard water options as well. They have unscented if you want to be safe, Essential Oils (works well with my sons sensitive skin), and then Fragrance Oil scents (can't use those). It's affordable too!

ETA: We use Flip and BG 3.0

This looks good, but is only available online, right? I could order some and try it, but I need to find something available today/tomorrow so I can get washing!

mama for your little one! I use Country Save powder, but I get it online although I've heard it's sold in some stores in some locations, but where I don't know. Have you looked at pinstripes and polka dots detergent chart? It's here: Pinstripes and Polka Dots Detergent Chart They list all kinds of detergents and soaps and rate them. If I were in your situation, I'd look thru that and see if I could find one that was diaper friendly, fragrance free, and available at a local store.

HTH and good luck to you!

We use all free & clear, and I am allergic to almost everything out there. We tried the seventh generation unscented, but i had a reaction to it. (My skin is so sensitive I can have a reaction just folding laundry).

We have been using the Thirsties brand, it is a liquid. They have a pre-wash and a wash.

Do you have any cloth diapering or natural family living stores near you? Many moms swear by Rockin Green. You can check their retailer list and maybe find a store near you that carries it.

I use Rockin Green now but for most of cloth diapering I have used All Free and Clear with fantastic results.

I use Country Save on everything, and I have sensitive skin. I found it in a small local HFS - pretty much the last place I expected to find it. Before that I was using soap nuts, which at the time I could find at WF, but they stopped carrying them and now I can't find them locally anymore. Either one works well with dipes, though.

I think there are stores that sell it, but mostly it's online. They have fast shipping though! Hope you find something soon.

Update

Thanks for all the suggestions! I ran out to Trader Joe's and picked up their detergent - originally grabbed the liquid, but saw it has Essential Oils, so switched to the powder. I washed all the dipes a couple times and washed a load of clothing. I am already seeing a difference! Amazing.

If this keeps working for us, great. If not, I'll check out the other detergents you all listed.

Thanks again!
