Had our little girl on the 16th at 5:40 pm. Crazy intense, this one!
I had contractions start the afternoon of the 15th, dh was cool with helping deal with them through the night (having been induced with our other dd, it was nice to do this together this time). Then we had a bunch of plumbing issues to take care of morning of the 16th - so dh was dealing with all of this until mid-afternoon, by which time stuff was pretty intense for me. I told him to put all the stuff in the car and threw up walking out there - got to the hospital at 4:30 and 7 cm. Had to walk around from a closed entrance to L&D that we didn't know was closed - and during beginnings of transition - to get inside (very annoying). Everything was pretty fast from there and with lots of yelling on my part. What was especially nice was we'd had to schedule an induction and were able to avoid it - so yea for spontaneous labor! Happy to be home with the new one now.
Here's little Fia and the proud big sister (who really wanted a little sister).
