Refusing to nurse when hitting a milestone?

My DD learned to roll today, and she's been doing it over and over. Problem is, she's refusing to nurse--I've only been able to get her to nurse a few times since this morning and I've only been able to get her latch on when she has full skin-to-skin contact (that finally calms her down). Is this normal? It's not that she's too busy to nurse, but rather she's crying and hysterical when I try to get her to latch on.

She's 4 months.

Yes, that's very common. Sounds like a nursing strike which typically only lasts a few days. Try switching postions, if she's learning to roll, she could have strained some muscles and it hurts when you hold her to nurse? Try keeping her close at night and latching her on when she's sleepy. In the meantime though, make sure you're expressing milk to keep your supply up and you can try giving it to her from a cup, spoon, bottle, whatever you feel comfortable with.

Hopefully it won't last long! Just keep offering and try not to stress about it, she'll sense that and it could make her more fussy.
