I just finished taking a couple diflucan for a yeast infection and now I have mastitis-which is weird because I never even felt like I had a clogged duct, but it was a severe case by the time I knew I had it. My midwife put me on a 10-day antibiotic regimen to get rid of that. I'm only 36 hours into my antibiotics and my mastitis symptoms are just about gone, but my yeast infection symptoms seem to be back. I know I'm at a higher risk for yeast infections while on an antibiotic, so I've been eating yogurt. I'm assuming the yeast infection wasn't completely gone when I got mastitis (since I took just my second diflucan a couple days before the mastitis kicked in). What else can I do to get rid of the yeast infection and/or keep it away? I don't really know what to do since treating one will only intensify the other, but I have to treat the mastitis with something more than the ginger root, echinacea, etc that I would normally do
I really don't want the yeast infection to get bad enough to transfer over to baby...
