My family was at the Boston Children's Museum today and in addition to nursing my own 12mo, I saw two other women nursing around the museum
I wanted to catch these mama's eyes and give them a thumbs up or a "nice job" or something, but never managed to be at the right place at the right time.
I was talking to DH about it and he said, too bad there isn't some sort of universal signal that means "hey mama, you're doing a great job nursing that baby in public. Keep it up!" He then thought for a minute and said, "what if you make the 'milk' sign twice and then the thumbs up" So then whenever you see another nursing mom you can say all that stuff without interrupting them. Like a secret handshake.
So, 'milk-milk-
' to all you mamas (and especially the ones who were at the BCM today!)

I'm pretty sure if I starting doing that my toddler would catch on, and join in too!
