Smiles!

In the last week, we are getting our first real social smiles! (She is 7 weeks now, but started that at 6.5 weeks.) I am loving seeing these!

Here are some pictures...I think she is pretty adorable (not biased at all )!

The smiling and cooing and chattering is the BEST. I'm loving this stage. Ela's 6 weeks old and the social smiles have just started showing up last week.

They have been smiling at me and DH for a couple of weeks (they are 9 weeks today). But today when I was holding them so they could look at each other, Holly would grin and chatter at Heidi. Heidi would smile back. It was the sweetest thing! It almost made me cry!

(BTW, My ds is bilingual, english and spanish, too! Hoping DD will be, too.)

These are two most recent shots from my friend Paula whose eventually going to do some family portraits for me. I swear Emily heard the click of the flash and she visibly perked up and started smiling.

But of course she's a genius.

We're at almost 11 weeks here and have had a lot of smiles now. Sasha is a very smiley baby - sometimes he even smiles in the middle of crying - like, I'm glad to see you but I'm cranky. Smiles are the best!!!!

So cute. I love all the smile pictures!! Rory is smiling away too, though I haven't had much luck catching one with the camera. She really loves watching toys dangle over her head and will just grin like crazy at them.

How did you get your son to be bilingual? DH is Chilean and he and I mostly speak Spanish in the house, but I'm still afraid that once she's out in the world English will take over and she'll reject the Spanish. How old is your ds?
