Need Help Picking Out Washing Machine

Thread Starter
So my front loader kicked the bucket, and if I'm lucky enough to get a new machine instead of the one for sale on the side of the road of questionable worth, I need suggestions.

I know I want a toploader
I have a shallow well so it can't suck up too much water, but enough to get things (DIAPERS) nice and clean and have hot water cycles

And, be under $500!

Any suggestions? (I'm asking for suggestions because my last machine was a horrible failure in the cloth diaper department- I had to manually add 2 gallons of water 3 times per load to get them clean!)

I went from my fl to a tl and am loving it! I just got a roper. They are made by whirlpool and I think I paid like $350 for it. It can use a lot of water if you don't set the water level according to the load size you are washing as with any normal toploader.

Mine has 3 or 4 water levels, 3 or 4 wash cycles and 3 water temp settings. I have only had it for about 18 months but it does a much better job on diapers than my fl. (which by the way was only 2y old when I sold it to a friend cause I had had enough, hense the really cheap tl. Dh didn't want to fork over a ton more money again! lol)

I have had a roper drier for 3 1/2 yrs though with no problems so am very happy with them, and wish I would have just gotten the set from the beginning. Happy shopping.
