Sagging Diaper - Any Ideas?

My son wears prefolds + thirsties covers. At home we have two options to stop them from sagging off his little body:

1. Snappi the diaper on then put the cover on OR
2. Fold the prefold in thirds, stick in the cover, then put the kid in a onesie.

We 99% of the time go with #2 for ease of use and because daycare doesn't mind cloth this way. With summer coming I'd love to not have to have him in a onesie, but the covers sag right off him when he's not in a onesie or snappi'd in.

Are there any options for me to keep the ease of use of not having to pin the diaper on without the onesie? Anything I can do to keep the diaper in place in the cover? I'd love to use what I have but...I'm open to suggestions of easy diapers that don't sag that are less than $12 each (does such a thing exist?)

If I snappi the diaper it doesn't sag. If I just tri fold it and put a cover on it sags and it drives me crazy!

I vote to snappi the diaper on and you shouldn't have the sag issue as long as the diaper is folded to fit nice and snug.

are you looking for a cover, or fitted? or something else? lol. which type of thirsties cover are you using? we use the duo wraps, and they're a little trimmer in the way they're cut- maybe they would stay on better?
